Quality Inspector

AOTCO Metal Finishing, LLC is a fast-growing company providing specialty surface finishing services to leading manufacturers in, medical, defense, semiconductor, and other advanced technology industries. With facilities in Billerica and Waltham, MA, AOTCO is recognized as an industry leader for innovation, quality, on-time delivery, and service.

We currently have an opening for a Quality Inspector to join our Billerica, MA team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform incoming part inspections, and inspections of finished electroplating and masking work in a time sensitive, ISO and NADCAP certified job shop environment.
- Communicate quality issues to plating and masking technicians, accurately and punctually to facilitate remediation and mitigate future similar issues.
- Use of inspection equipment such as XRF X-Ray and Isoscope to verify adherence to customer specifications.
- Use of hand tools: micrometers, verniers, pin gages.
- Ability to understand and identify compliance issues related to quality standards and customer specifications, communication with related technical staff to ensure identified issues are addressed.
- Continuous Improvement Program involvement. Proactively work with all departments to ensure the execution of continuous process improvement to maximize quality, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer experience.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.

**Qualifications**:

- Comfortable reading and interpreting technical specifications and information. Knowledge of blueprints are a plus.
- Responsible, dependable person with high integrity and sense of personal accountability

- Able to learn technical information about manufacturing processes and standards.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
