Job Summary:
Idea Lab is currently seeking an Assistant Camp Director who will play a vital role in orchestrating the daily operations and activities of our summer camp program. This position offers a unique pathway to full-time employment as the Assistant Summer Camp Director transitions into the Program Director role by the end of July, leading into a year-round commitment and Salaried Position. The primary goal for this position is to find a long term Program Director to take over when the position opens again in August 2024.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement Idea Lab camp programs that seamlessly blend fun and education, ensuring they align with our educational goals.
- Supervise and provide guidance to camp staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
- Prioritize the safety and well-being of campers by implementing comprehensive safety measures that have been developed by Child Care Regulation and the Department of Health and Human Services.
- Manage logístical aspects of the camp, including scheduling, budgeting, and procurement of supplies.
- Cultivate open lines of communication with parents, staff, and other administrators to enhance the camp experience.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and offer recommendations for continual enhancement.
- Review curriculum materials, generate comprehensive supply lists, and oversee the purchase and organization of supplies required for each week of camp.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated experience working with students in an educational setting, coupled with a genuine passion for education.
- Ability to engage campers through interactive and educational activities, fostering a love for learning.
- Background in child care or summer camp settings is advantageous.
- Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for effective team management.
- CPR and First Aid certification are required, emphasizing our commitment to camper safety.
- Aquiring a Child Care Director's Certification (in not aquired already) will be necessary for the Fall 2024 Progams, when the program transitions to an After School, Homeschool, and Birthday Party Program.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to positively influence the lives of young campers while gaining valuable leadership experience in an educational setting. As the Assistant Camp Director transitions into the Program Director role, they will assume increased responsibilities, including the crucial task of managing camp supplies and resources to ensure a seamless and enriching camp experience.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
