FULL-TIME/SEASONAL POOL MANAGER

The purpose of the position is to perform a variety of management duties for the City of Farmer City at the public swimming pool facility during the summer

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Plan, organize, schedule, direct and/or lead various recreational programs at the pool
- Develop and monitor budget; submit receipts and bills for payment
- Secure supplies, equipment and facilities
- Recruit, interview, hire and train program staff; supervise and evaluate performance

SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS
- Supervise seasonal employees and participate in hiring and training of staff
- Develop and maintain weekly staff schedules to ensure coverage
- Direct seasonal staff to ensure performance continues to meet customer service and other standards
- Reconcile cash drawers each day;
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to serve the public and fellow employees with enthusiasm and integrity.
- High school diploma required; two years recreational or pool experience in a supervisory role preferred
- Ability to manage and handle cash and check payments in an accurate manner.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions
- Ability to give verbal and written instructions
- Ability to direct, appraise and discipline staff in a respectful and constructive manner
- Ability to maintain a high level of customer service in all areas of responsibility

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
