The CSR combines customer service skills with marketing skills to develop a relationship with our clients.

- Ability to walk, stand, crouch, stoop, climb and kneel, also manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 lbs.
- Staff is routinely exposed to a variety of pets that may bite or scratch, and on occasion, is exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards and medication/controlled substances.
- Must be at least 18 years old to perform duties involving x‐ray and exposure to radioactive substances.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste.
- Assist outgoing clients by providing all necessary instructions, information and, invoices, dispensing prescription items per the veterinarian’s instructions, selling retail products, and scheduling future appointments.
- Other job duties as assigned.

**Skills and Qualifications**

The Client Service Representative plays a key role in the hospital’s success, as his/her immediate interaction with clients, repeat visits, and satisfaction. While this position does not have any clinical duties, we encourage CSRs to be cross-trained to be very effective, as CSRs will work hand-in-hand with Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians. The CSR is responsible for:

- Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
- Scheduling and confirming appointments.
- Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
- Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
- Educating clients about pet health needs and hospital services.
- Assist incoming clients by completing the required documentation, entering all pet information and history into the computer, utilizing proper collars and tags for identification, and ensuring prompt service.
- Working knowledge of veterinary management software e.g., cornerstone would a plus.
- Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times.
- Other job duties as assigned.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
