We are seeking a **Project Manager** to join our federal team supporting our **Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) team**. If you have a desire to see the world then this is the opportunity for you. This is a virtual /remote (work from home) position supporting U.S. government projects, primarily for the Department of Defense, in foreign countries (no designated war zone countries). Travel is based on the project needs, and may be as high as 75%

**Location**:Remote / Virtual (work from home) - can be based anywhere in the world but must be able to travel internationally for long durations. Will require between 25-75% international travel in roughly 2 week durations.

As a **Project Manager**, you will:

- Responsible for the profitable execution of assigned Building Technologies projects (Fire Alarm, Building Automation and Controls, Electronic Security Systems, Utility Monitoring and Metering systems, SCADA, power generation, etc)
- Acts as the primary leader for teams on assigned projects. Develops project schedules and executes according to plan for assigned projects
- Ensures that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time, billed, within budget and within scope of the contract. Maintains positive cash flow
- Evaluates the contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued bulletins, field directives and / or scheduling changes. Actively pursues additional work through change orders. Performs associated cost estimates, prepares proposals and negotiates final settlement price and customer acceptance
- Manages costs, billings and collections. Completes project billings in a timely and accurate format to the client. Maintains profitability goals and positive cash flow.
- Analyzes financial reporting systems and project schedules to proactively address potential problems. Effectively communicates project progress, issues and financial status to management as required.
- Manages risks and establishes project recovery plans when required. Resolves disputes with mínimal need for escalation.
- Negotiates, prepares and issues subcontracts.
- Ensures project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and JCFS standards.
- Oversees project construction for compliance with specifications, local codes and installation techniques.
- Manages the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assigned.
- Develops and maintains viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors and subcontractors. Attends job progress meetings as required. Ensures subcontractors understand expectations of the project.
- Coordinates with team for allocation of resources needed to meet project objectives. Ensures any engineering and commissioning performed by the field team is in accordance with established standards. Facilitates escalation of product related problems.
- Assists in project development efforts.
- Coordinates customer-training requirements.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Eight (8) or more years of project management experience in the Building Construction Industry.
- Project management experience with projects related to building technologies (Fire Alarm, automation/controls, Electronic Security, Utility Monitoring/Metering, SCADA, Power Generation, etc)
- Able to execute projects of higher scope and contract complexity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel internationally
- In order to meet the demands of our customers, we require being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. Must submit proof in our Johnson Controls Vaccination Tracker prior to hire.
- Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc) and general Windows environment
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance required. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience and proficiency with managing a Profit and Loss (P&L) statement
- Experience working with federal government contracts.
- NICET III Fire Alarm Installation and Maintenance. NICET IV Preferred
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety standards
- Electrical contractor license
