The Research Associate conducts research on worker safety & health and employment issues in California, with a particular focus on low-wage, immigrant, and/or non-English-speaking workers and those in high-risk industries. The Research Associate will plan, coordinate, and implement discrete research activities in support of LOSH research initiatives and in close coordination with the LOSH Research Analyst and labor and community-based partners. Responsibilities include assisting with project planning and management; convening meetings with project contributors; creating research tools in English and Spanish; collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data; summarizing and presenting results for various audiences; and contributing to written reports, publications, and grant proposals. The Research Associate represents LOSH in community meetings and professional conferences, and participate in LOSH organizational and staff development initiatives.**Salary & Compensation**

Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. **Qualifications**
- Knowledge of occupational safety and health, labor movement, and/or participatory action research. (required)
- Administrating surveys, conducting interviews, and leading focus groups with workers and/or community audiences. (required)
- Managing and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data. (required)
- Collaborating with diverse partners from labor, community-based organizations, government agencies, and academia. (required)
- Ability to plan projects, develop work plans and timelines, and ensure completion of work plan satisfactorily within timeframe agreed upon with supervisor. (required)
- Available for occasional evening and weekend activities as determined by operational needs. (required)
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish. (required)

**Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations**
- Bachelor's Degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training (required)
- Master's Degree In Public Health or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred)
