**Responsibilities**:

- Teach Basic Ceramics Skills: Instruct campers in fundamental ceramics techniques, fostering their love for the craft.
- Plan Engaging Sessions: Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that cater to various skill levels and interests.
- Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for campers to explore their artistic potential.
- Manage Ceramics Studio: Oversee the organization and maintenance of the ceramics studio space.
- Operate Kiln: Proficiently load and unload the kiln, ensuring the safe firing of campers' masterpieces.
- Supervise and Assist: Provide guidance and assistance to campers, promoting a safe and enjoyable ceramics experience.

Elmwood is a children’s day camp located in Westchester, NY, in a beautiful wooded residential section of White Plains, about 30 minutes outside NYC. As a part of the Elmwood team, staff members are sure to enjoy the challenges, triumphs, responsibilities, rewards and fun that make up each day. We believe that in the process of making Elmwood “a great place to be me” for each camper, our staff members find that they too are in “a great place to be me”. We have a high energy and friendly staff. We offer optional staff rec events in the evenings to allow staff to get to know each other after the camp day.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $3,000.00 - $5,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
