**Overview of this Position**:
The QC Chemist III supports quality systems as they relate to the manufacturing and testing of cGMP drug products. These duties will include but are not limited to providing advanced laboratory testing support, document authoring and review, test method transfer/verification execution and continuous improvement projects.

**Non-Negotiable Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and/or other related discipline and a minimum of 6 years of pharmaceutical or chemical testing experience.
- Strong attention to detail; ability to complete tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to read and execute compendia methods from USP-NF, EP and JP.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

**Preferred Requirements**:

- Master’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of pharmaceutical or chemical testing experience.
- Previous experience in Quality Control preferred.

**Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)**:

- Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, in-process samples, finished pharmaceutical products and stability.
- Run instrumentation independently, including but not limited to, HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV VIS and physical testing on pharmaceutical products according to client/compendia procedures and departmental SOPs.
- Work collaboratively with Senior QC team members, Quality Assurance and Analytical Technical Services to successfully transfer projects to the QC Analytical lab.
- Perform preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment as needed/determined by Senior QC team members/management.
- Troubleshoot methods and complete continuous improvement projects related to existing methods.
- Review laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to GMP and/or GLP regulations.
- Process data, generate reports, and evaluate data.
