**Job Title**:Logistics Clerk

**Reports To**: Warehouse Supervisor

**FSLA Status**: Exempt

**General Summary**

The Logistics Clerk, under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, must

adhere to import/export transportation and traffic management principles and

policies and special handling or movement requirements associated with freight or

other transportation operations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of

work that may be performed.
- Execute shipments, including LCL and FCL ocean freight shipments, complying with proper incoterms.
- Follow up with truckers, terminal, and agents to ensure on-time shipments.
- Monitor and provide shipment-tracking information and reports as well as

ensure on time delivery.
- Create export paperwork for international shipments.
- Tracking of sea & air shipments.
- Customs clearance formalities (customs clearance and delivery planning,

issuance and sending of needed documentation).
- Archives (filing, customs documents).
- Data Entry (fees, dates)
- Send documents and tracking information to customers once orders have

shipped (export and domestic).
- Follow up on the status of the original shipping documents with the supplier's

for import shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, environment, GMP rules,

regulations and policies.
- Import/Exporting Distribution Lists and setting up trucking (Full Loads/LTL)
- Import/Export Spreadsheets
- Import/Export Documents
- Preparing Shipping Documents
- Maintaining Shipping Records
- Assist Loaders by helping find products.
- Authorize truck drivers to enter the facility.
- Perform clerical duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager
- Supporting Warehouse Operations (Receiving, Forklift, Receiving Inspection)

**Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies**
- High School diploma or equivalent. 2-3 of relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics flows and related documents, or any other relevant experience in an administrative role.
- IATA & IMDG Certificates required or be willing to obtain certifications within 60 days of hire.
- Must have good command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Proficient (or ability to become proficient) use of Word/Excel and various inventory systems.
- Experience with UPS/FedEx online software is desirable.
- Must be able to read and interpret work orders and use simple math.
- Planning & Organizational skills.
- Result-driven & detailed oriented.
- Multitask & problem solver.

**Working Environment**
- Typical office and manufacturing environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a general office environment where the noise level is usually moderate.
- Employee may be exposed to odors due to the nature of the business.

**Physical Demands**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Climbing and bending during walkthroughs of the plant
- Some prolonged sitting and bending from office work.
- Normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
- Some exposure to moving parts and machines, chemicals, and slippery environments.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Heavy operating use of computer, fax machines, scanners etc.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
