Client Services Specialist I

**Family Service Center (FSC) is seeking a Client Services Specialist. FSC will offer one full-time position to work in the Texas City office as part of the administrative team responsible for all facets of the client experience and front office operations.**
**About the job**
The Client Services Specialist position is responsible for answering phones, greeting clients, assisting with client data entry, assisting with general office functions, client recruitment, and serving as a client liaison with programs and staff.
Stipend provided for demonstrated bilingual proficiency.
**Some of the responsibilities for this role include**:
- Assesses client fees based on family size and income. Coordinates financial counseling for client intake process, assigning correct program for reimbursement/grant funding.
- Ensures calls are documented and screened appropriately.
- Exercises appropriate telephone etiquette when speaking with clients.
- Schedules appointments for with the appropriate therapist.
- Gathers client information to determine program eligibility.
- Ensures that client records are maintained and filed in a timely manner.
- Completes reminder calls to clients for scheduled appointments.
- Prepares client paperwork/chart for visit.
- Appropriately receipts all monies collected.
- Maintains program ledgers.
- Monitors the retention and destruction of clinical records.
- Interacts with clients in a professional manner.
- Completes client paperwork.
- Maintains client files.
- Maintains client waiting room.
- Enters client data.
- Exercises appropriate telephone etiquette when speaking with clients.
- Respects and supports client rights including confidentiality.
- Maintains office supply inventory/procurement.
- Participates in outreach activities to identify clients, inform community of services and build community collaborative relationships.
**Required Education**:
- Bilingual highly preferred
- High School diploma/GED preferred
**Required Experience**:
- Office skills and ability to set priorities and execute tasks as directed.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; bilingual preferred.
- Phone etiquette skills, ability to effectively deal with clients who are in crisis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively with agency staff and clients.
- Knowledge of, and compliance with, the principles of professional ethics and client confidentiality.
To qualify for the Spanish-speaking stipend, applicants must have the ability to communicate and deliver culturally competent services in Spanish, including reading, writing and speaking.
