**Job Summary**:
At Caterpillar’s East Peoria, IL facility, we manufacture and assemble Track Type Tractors. In this role as a Supply Chain Planning Analyst, you will report to the Manager Material Requirements Planning and will be primarily responsible for processing job requisitions and provides support for supply chain, sourcing, cost, price analyses, and contract/purchase order generation. As a member of the Logistics team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture. **What you will do**:

- Lead projects as required to improve and measure the velocity, efficiency, connectivity of the RIOP Engineered Value Chain
- Aftermarket portfolio for RIOP including process development and providing guidance for exception process
- Develop and maintain Business cycle continuity plan development for RIOP sites
- Function as a “Supply Chain Champion” for the RIOP Engineered Value Chain team by gaining a understanding of our system capabilities across the value chain
- Lead Enterprise Constraint Management suppliers for RIOP
- Participate in Control Tower meetings and provide clarity for RIOP executable build schedule
- Assist in the annual and quarterly budgeting process
- Identify, scope, and launch new projects to support the key imperatives of the RIOP Engineered Value Chain team
- Facilitate team meeting and stakeholder updates
- Present to RIOP Engineered Value Chain Team or stakeholders on overall portfolio status as needed
- Estimate resource, cost, and timing needs for projects within the portfolio
- Work across diverse groups and business units to connect value chain data

- Contributes to standard practices for problem-solving approaches, tools, and processes.
- Analyzes and synthesizes information and devises alternative resolution strategies.
- Develops successful resolutions to critical or wide-impact problems.

**Procurement**: Knowledge of buying and procurement; ability to work with organizational strategies and practices, and use tools for buying goods, supplies, equipment and services needed to conduct business.

Level Extensive Experience:

- Monitors effectiveness of procurement policies in high-cost or critical path purchases.
- Selects appropriate qualified suppliers and negotiates related contracts.
- Compares and contrasts alternative sourcing strategies (sole sourcing, reverse auctions, etc.).
- Develops alternative sources of supply for the manufacturing organization.
- Assists in creating contingency plans for and with critical suppliers.
- Coordinates the procurement of a variety of products, materials and services.
