The Grant Writing VISTA Member will support Edu-Futuro through their expertise in research for grant and government contract opportunities, grant writing for foundations, individual/corporate donors, and local, state, and federal government grants/contracts.

Working with Edu-Futuro’s development team, the VISTA member will research new grant and government contract opportunities to ensure sustainable growth of the organization to achieve its mission to meet the needs of the beneficiaries Edu-Futuro serves.

By securing new grants and contracts Edu-Futuro will increase its capacity, and as a result Edu-Futuro will operate more efficiently and will allow Edu-Futuro to increase the number of beneficiaries per year, aiding the communities served.

Member Activity: In collaboration with Edu-Futuro development staff, assessthe current annual grant writing calendar and work with the development team to make sure that all new grants and proposals are submitted before their deadlines.

Member Activity: The Grant Writing VISTA member will focus on identifying new funding opportunities for general and program support.

In collaboration with Edu-Futuro development staff, compose organizational proposals and program proposals as needed, including technical narratives and budgets.

Member Activity: In collaboration with Edu-Futuro development staff and other VISTA members, ensure eligibility for grants by examining our organization and seeing if the opportunity aligns with ourmission.

Member Activity: In collaboration with Edu-Futuro development staff, assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive, multi-year development plan to generate new revenue from diverse sources. These sources will include government, corporate, foundation grants, individual and corporate donors, fundraising events, direct appeals, and special events.

Member Activity: In collaboration with Edu-Futuro development staff, ensure that all proposals are submitted, in compliance with all applicable legal & ethical standards and guidelines required by funders.

Pay: $2,074.52 per month
