Sanitation Technician

Green Meadows Foods is an Artisan jerky manufacturer with over 20 years of experience in co-packing, manufacturing, and product development. We are located in Paxton, IL - 30 miles north of Champaign, IL.

**SANITATION TECHNICIAN**

**HOURS 10 A.M. - 6:30 P.M.**

Responsible for the overall cleaning and sanitation of equipment, in a timely manner, used in the daily manufacturing process of jerky and other duties as assigned.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate industrial pressure wash machinery safely and effectively to clean equipment
- Use pre-mixed chemicals as needed in appropriate order for effective sanitation
- Maintain established schedule and provide feedback to improve efficiency
- Follow good manufacturing practices and safety procedures
- Communicate with management regarding tools and equipment needing maintenance
- Housekeeping
- Cross train in shipping/receiving
- Other duties as assigned

**Skills**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to take verbal direction
- Ability to work independently **and **with a team
- Time management skills
- Ability to stand for duration of shift in varying environments (Hot, cold, always wet)
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Dependable

*Pay increase possible at end of 90 day probation, based on performance & attendance.

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Sanitation: 1 year (preferred)
