Recreation Program Assistant

**Position Title**: **Recreation Program Assistant**
**Department**:Recreation
**Affiliation/Grade**: Non-Union / N-3
**Hours**: 35 hours per week, some weekends and evenings as needed
**Start Salary**: $26.23 to $28.66 per hour (full range up to $34.23/hr)
**Description of position**:
Outstanding customer service skills required. Primary reception and customer service for department; cashiering; database and file management; managing department social media, and digital and print marketing campaigns and brochures, serve as the webmaster for department site; Support special event planning; Development and maintenance of the program brochure in Publisher, In-Design, or similar. Routine AR/AP responsibilities; Assist with seasonal payroll; all other related work, as required.
**Recommended Minimum Qualifications**:
**Education**:Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or Leisure Studies, Physical Education or a related discipline preferred.
**Experience**:Two (2) years of progressive administrative and customer service experience; experience in recreation programs, community events, summer camps, child care programs and/or working with the public is preferred.
**Substitutions**: An equivalent combination of education and experience.
