**The Position**

The Warehouseman’s primary responsibility is to ensure that all incoming material is accurately counted, identified, documented and stored; and to work with all company personnel to ensure quality customer service.

**Key Position Details**
- Comply with all established procedures for receiving inventory.
- Examine all incoming shipments, record shortages, overages, damages or any discrepancies on receiving documentation and obtain signature of the carrier. Identify damaged freight and communicate with the credit department.
- Direct the handling and placement of material received to their proper location.
- Coordinate with the appropriate product department in the disposition of special orders. Learn and understand basic data systems functions in order to work effectively on follow-up work regarding errors, exceptions, etc.
- Preplan the receipt of incoming shipment to facilitate placement, labor and equipment required.
- Maintain a well-organized, safeguarded, clean, and bin located warehouse and yard.
- Communicate with the Warehouse Manager on potential inventory needs and gaps in fill rates.
- Monitor obsolete and slow moving inventory and communicate ideas for minimizing.
- Complete mandatory training courses for Warehouse position

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Understanding of organizational procedures and operations
- Operate material handling equipment
- A neat and clean appearance
- Write in a neat, legible fashion
- Knowledge of city and outlying delivery area
- Work with minimum supervision
- Analyze administrative details and correct routine errors
- Possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and be 18 years of age (or older if required by State law)
- Possess adequate human relations and communications skills
- Effective understanding of the WISE system in order to execute duties specific to your Company

**Physical Demands**

The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components
- Ability to safely lift and handle material weighing up-to 50 pounds

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
