**Medical Billing Specialist**

Evenflow Solutions has a client that is looking for a few Medical Billing Specialists in Lewisville, Texas to add to their team.
- Full time Contract to hire position with the chance to go perm for the right person
- This will be a W-2 position working with Evenflow Solutions. Benefits are available to you through our company while you are working the contract position.
- This is a Hybrid position that will be oniste at our client's Lewisville Location on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Remote the remaining 3 days per week.

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Medical Billing Specialist position will consist of working closely with the clinics to ensure that all claims are being processed in a timely manner.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for both billing and collections based on an assigned region.
- Responsible for resolving invalids, rejections, and denials as well as billing.
- Medical AR follow-up procedures to include reviewing and working aging reports, denials and insurance correspondence from various insurance carriers
- Payment posting and account reconciliation.
- Review and process adjustments and refunds on patient accounts
- Knowledgeable - A combination of job related education, skills and experience
- Professionalism - Professional actions, communications and attitude.
- Stability - Even temperament. Ability to handle unavoidable tension and pressure.
- Accuracy - Absence of errors.
- Reliability - Dependability and trustworthiness.
- Attendance - Ability to Strictly adhere to assigned work schedule.
- Team work - Ability to work in a team for the betterment of staff, patients, and the Company.

**Education & Experience**
- High School diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of experience in Medical Billing, coding and all claims related services
- Must have strong working knowledge in Texas Medicaid, Medi-Cal and managed care plans
- Previous physician office and or hospital billing and follow up experience required (3 years)
- Must have strong working knowledge in Medicaid, Medi-Cal and managed care plans
- Experience with all Microsoft Office products
- Typing 45 WPM minimum accurately
- Clear understanding of confidentiality
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
