**Job Description for Foundry Technician**:
Uni-Cast is searching for a detail-oriented, dependable technician to join our Foundry team.
- The technician's responsibilities include monitoring and servicing systems, diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment, running tests and completing reports, updating and improving existing systems, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment.
- You should be able to collaborate with other team members and be able to make useful recommendations wherever possible. Audit the process as frequently as possible and teach new and current employees the right way to perform the task at hand, to use best job practices.
- Able to work flexible hours if necessary to accomplish a task or to conduct specific training.
- To be successful as a technician, you should demonstrate strong self-discipline and a passion for technology. Outstanding technicians possess sound knowledge of their trade and excellent active listening skills.

**Specific Responsibilities for Foundry Technician**:

- Safely operate all necessary equipment as required, including the overhead crane.
- Ensure that molds are safe to pour and all precautions have been taken to prevent accidents.
- Melting, preparing, and pouring of molten metals.
- Conduct metallurgical analyses and tests on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods using various testing equipment and techniques.
- Inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting systems and equipment.
- Familiarizing themselves with repair manuals and coordinating with other professionals.
- Running tests and interpreting results to make effective recommendations.
- Writing up reports, insuring checklists are filled correctly, monitoring safety regulations and preventative maintenance plans.
- Tracking replacement parts, keeping a pulse on equipment repairs.
- Keeping abreast of advancements in the field and auditing the process and the employees' accuracy of performing tasks.

**Requirements for Foundry Technician**:

- 3-5 years experience working in a Foundry.
- Experience working as a Technician.
- Ability to multitask and communicate with professionals, engineers and production employees.
- Ability to explain problems simply and clearly.
- Proficiency in MS Office, computer savvy.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations.
- Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attendance.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
