**Some of the responsibilities included but are not limited to**:
Work under the general direction of the Education Coordinator the Campus Supervisor is responsible for:

- Smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the Center.
- Supervising and monitoring of staff working at the assigned center(s).
- Participating with the teacher(s) in the care and education of children in the classroom.
- Ensuring classroom activities comply with CCA policies and procedures, State Department of Education - Child Development Division regulations, Title 5 and Title 22 Community Care Licensing regulations. Must have working knowledge and implement curriculum in accordance with California Infant/Toddler and Preschool Learning Foundations as well as corresponding curriculum framework.
- Developing and maintaining strong and caring relationships with toddlers, children and their parents.
- Develops and monitors center and staff schedules; arranges and schedules substitutes for the classrooms as needed.
- Ensures all required documentation is accurate and maintained in a timely manner; audits documents periodically to ensure accuracy and completeness, i.e.: but not limited to: Children’s Portfolios, Lesson Plans, Diaper/Hygiene logs, Meal Records, etc.
- Oversees the campus environment to ensure that staff and volunteers promote a positive self-concept for children in a warm and nurturing environment.
- Plans and leads periodic meetings with staff and parents; responds to requests for meetings with parents; receives and responds promptly to complaints, notifying supervisor and/or others as appropriate.
- Performs supervisory duties including assigning and reviewing work; monitors staff attendance; collects, verifies and approves time records and leave requests; evaluates performance and recommends disciplinary action if needed.
- pPrforms any or all of the duties of the Teacher (see separate job description) as scheduled or as required.
- Willingness and readiness to step into the teacher role when needed to support staff, role models and mentor them.

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**: To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have:

- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- A current, **valid Child Development Site Supervisor Permit issued by California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.**:

- Must have at least 60 college course units with a “C” grade or better: including a minimum of (24) ECE units, (24) General Education units in specific categories. This includes twelve (12) units of Early Childhood Education/Child Development (ECE) core curriculum coursework, two classes in Child Development Administration, a Child Development Adult Supervision class and an Infant class (3 units).
- Must satisfy Title 22 and Title 5 requirements for a teacher position; must hold and maintain a valid/current Child Development Associate Teacher permit or higher.
- Working knowledge of early childhood programs, standards, and teaching experience in an ECE classroom.
- Complete 16 hours of Preventative Health education including CPR Certification and Pediatric CPR & First Aid.
- Working knowledge of the California foundation of developmental and education standards for children (ages birth to five).
- Solid English and Spanish language skills including effective oral communication skills, ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence and ability to write simple correspondence.
- Demonstrated skill in curriculum development and modification for children (infants to five years).
- Prior experience with children and families from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds and ability to be sensitive to the different cultures represented among children, families and staff.
- A warm, friendly, positive personality who enjoys helping children to grow and helping families.
- A working knowledge of maintaining a safe or secure environment for children with the ability to constantly monitor, supervise and control children.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player.
- Supervisory/leadership skills for mentoring, modeling and training teachers, teacher assistants and volunteers.
- Ability to establish and maintain files, records and official documents.
- Reliable, punctual, responsible, dependable and fulfill obligations.
- Courteous and pleasant with other on the job and displaying good-natured, cooperative attitude; ability to be flexible and work in a changing environment

**Health/Safety Clearances require**:

- Proof of recent tuberculosis test and must submit updated testing/results as per agency internal requirements.
- Proof of adult mandatory vaccinations: influenza (annual requirement) and/or waiver, Tdap (booster every 10 years) &/or proof of immunity provided by physician AND measles vaccination and/or proof of immunity provided by physician.
- Pre-employment health screening report upon hiring and as per agency internal requirements.
