Residential Painting Helper/apprentice

PAY RANGE IS STARTING PAY RANGE WITH AN INCENTIVE JUST 4-6 WEEKS AFTER START DATE

IMPORTANT: We are NOT looking for subcontractors. We are looking to add to our team.

Jeff Bryant Painting, LLC is primarily a high-end residential repaint company that has built it's reputation among home owners and remodeling contractors as one of the Caledonia area's most trusted painting companies. Equally as important, we have always prided ourselves in maintaining a generous work/life balance where professional painters are rewarded for smart and efficient craftsmanship and project management. We don't believe that a professional painter should be required to work 50 hours per week and/or Saturdays to make a living wage. Furthermore, here are a few ways we create a quality work environment:

- Common sense approach to all aspects of the business with honest communication and transparency. We are a small company with no desire to be a large one. This ensures that we stay busy year round doing the kind of work that we WANT to do, rather than the work we must do to stay busy.
- Majority of our work is interior and climate controlled (including our shop)
- Quality supplies (like Frog Tape) and high end paints that finish well. We don't provide white tape and commercial paints and expect the fabulous finishes our customers have come to expect
- Work shirts provided
- Low pressure/stress. Outside of the demand for excellent finishes and professionalism, we would consider ourselves to be a "low pressure" type company. We are rarely under a hard deadline or impose one. We would rather finish a project early the following day with excellence, then make the day into a long day where attention to detail is lower just to "get off the job".

Duties you will LEARN to do and we are excited to teach you:

- Become a professional
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks. This includes light drywall repairs, patching, caulking, etc
- Pressure washing
- Deck staining

Qualifications Absolutely Required:

- Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Honest person who lives a life of high integrity. WHO you ARE is more important than your current skillset
- MUST be comfortable and fully embrace working in homeowner occupied homes while professionally representing yourself and the company well.
- A desire to learn the trade and grow with company in job title and pay

**Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time. Also, must be comfortable on ladders (rarely on a ladder taller than a 20' extension)

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week

**Experience**:

- Residential painting: 1 year (preferred)
