**Grant Specialist**

**Position Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Research and identify potential funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporations that align with McMillen Health's mission and values.
- Develop comprehensive grant proposals that effectively communicate the organization's goals, programs, and impact to prospective funders.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather data, statistics, and other information needed for grant proposals and reports.
- Monitor and track grant awards, ensuring compliance with grant terms and reporting obligations.
- Build and maintain relationships with funders and partners to support ongoing funding efforts.
- Stay informed of industry trends, developments in health education, and changes in foundation priorities.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing, prospect research, or fundraising
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in coordinating grants and final reports
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgment in sensitive situations.

**Physical Demands and Work Environment**:
This role requires moderate physical activity, including sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods and occasional lifting. Work is primarily performed in an office environment, with exposure to typical office conditions.

**This position is full-time, hourly, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, located at McMillen Health in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is not a remote position. Starting hourly rate: $22 per hour, or $45,760 annually.**

**Please note, McMillen Health does not offer health insurance. You will be required to obtain health insurance on your own.**

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
