**Job Summary**:
The CNC Operator/Programmer works alongside our Shop Lead and reports to the Managing Director. This role is responsible for programming project files and operating 2 CNC machines to cut parts for our project kits. This includes:

- Programming files using VCarve
- Following blueprints for each project part and contributing to updating files when necessary
- Studying work orders and planning machining
- Loading sheets of wood into feed
- Removing cut parts, QA-ing parts, and cleaning parts
- Complete any necessary, routine preventative maintenance
- Maintain documentation and complete production and quality logs
- Adhere to safety standards and maintain safe operation of equipment

You will have an opportunity to learn, contribute to, and improve manufacturing operations & processes, safety procedures, and shop organization. You will work hands-on with the broader production team to manufacture parts from furniture-grade plywood to bring our projects from conception to delivery.

Your onboarding process will consist of:

- 1:1 training with the Shop team
- Studying written manufacturing instructions and blueprints for specific projects
- Shadowing existing employees from the Shop team

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience operating a CNC machine
- 3+ years of experience programming CNC files
- OSHA-10 certification
- CNC training certification
- Proficient in programming with VCarve
- Basic shop safety
- Basic cleaning skills
- Strong communication skills and operates well under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Proactive communication
- Ability to lift heavy materials (over 50lbs)
- Must be able to pass a background check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation
- Available Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Occasional opportunities for overtime

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
