Camp Education Specialist

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelors or Masters in Elementary Education or equivalent.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Experience teaching elementary-age children in a classroom setting.
- Ability to design and implement creative and effective lesson plans.
- Have high energy and enthusiasm for teaching.
- Ability to manage time well and multi-task.
- Show initiative and be able to prioritize.
- Be responsible and trustworthy.
- Proactive work ethic and ability to perform with mínimal supervision.
- Work under the guidance and principles set forth by the Camp Director.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop activity-based learning curriculum for the camp season.
- Design and implement organized activity-based lesson plans.
- Create a fun and educational learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students and camp counselors.
- Arrive early to set up the program area and clean up the area when classes are completed.
- Record and monitor camper's progress.
- Care for all instructional materials.
- Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Camp Director.

**Job type**:

- Seasonal summer position.

**Hours**:

- In-person: July 15 - August 16, 2024.
- 7 class sessions per day, each class is 40-45 minutes, 10-15 minutes between classes.
- 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Monday through Friday during camp hours.

**Compensation: $45.00/class.**

**Location**:

- Central Queens
- 67-09 108 St, Forest Hills, NY.

**Specifications for physical requirements**:

- Must be able to stand for 45 minutes at a time.
- Must be able to move from classroom to classroom and up and down stairs.
- Must be able to carry up to 20 pounds.
