- Provide medical administrative support by scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling prior authorizations of medications and procedures.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care by taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and explaining procedures to patients.
- Perform basic medical procedures such as administering injections, collecting specimens for laboratory testing, and sterilizing instruments.
- Answers telephones, schedules appointments, contacts patients with lab and radiology results, coordinates consults to specialists, recalls patients for follow up appointments and procedures.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or relevant certification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in performing basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs and data entry in computer.
- Experience with medical coding diagnoses to submit with lab specimens.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient service.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
