**Job Title: Buyer/Expeditor Department: Project Management**

**Reports to: Procurement Manager Location: Tampa, FL**

We provide a single-source solution for the design, manufacturing, financing, commissioning, and operation of all types of water and wastewater treatment technologies including conventional filtration, ultra/microfiltration, membrane bioreactors, and desalination with reverse osmosis. We are looking to add to our diverse team here in Tampa, FL.

**Job Summary**:
Collaborate with the project execution team to ensure timely delivery of products within budget and according to contract specifications.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate the flow of information between departments.
- Coordinate logistics, receiving and shipping of materials and equipment.
- Review project and/or proposal material requirements and make recommendations on sources of equipment supply.
- Maintain and document project accurate material budgets for access by management and engineering personnel.
- Establish reliable sources of supply for materials normally used in the production of BW Water equipment.
- Process all purchases in line with purchase order terms and conditions, Company policy and project requirements.
- Monitor and manage suppliers to adhere to BW Americas terms and conditions as documented on purchase orders.
- Expedite material delivery to meet production and/or site delivery requirements.
- Document material and documentation delivery status on the Procurement Tracking Sheet and make these available to the project managers.
- Negotiate vendor change orders and back-charges as required and acceptable payment terms to suit project cash flow requirements.
- Assess supplier performance and report any unacceptable equipment and/or suppliers to the project manager.
- Obtain reliable and economical sources for material shipment.
- Manage incoming inspections and material receipt vouchers through completion in a timely manner and forward them to project managers.
- Promote a professional Company image and manage procurement according to fair purchasing practices and methods.
- Contact suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products. Generate progress report on purchase orders and share with the team.
- Interface with manufacturing, project management, engineering, QA/QC, and other departments.
- Perform other projects or tasks as designated by the Procurement Manager.
- Complete new-vendor set-up, and qualifications.
- Prepare purchasing requisitions and purchase orders.
- Communicate with vendors on issues and schedule reporting.
- Assist Project Managers with logistics, shipping plan, shipping documents, and monitoring freight forwarders.
- Monitor vendor’s equipment quality release inspections.
- Organize and update inventory status.
- Participate in project management meetings.

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Technical experience in the water/wastewater treatment equipment industry preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Experience in MS Project, Deltek Cost Point, and Smartsheet is a plus.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing or sitting) for 80% of the time.
- This position frequently communicates with employees and vendors. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
- Must be able to detect proper and improper purchase orders/equipment.
- Occasionally moves packages weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Strong time management, communication (verbal and written), problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Self-motivated “can do” attitude with a strong desire to succeed.
- Fluent in English is required and French, Arabic, Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred.

**Education and Experience**:

- AS or BS degree in engineering preferable, but not required.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in manufacturing procurement.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
