Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks and ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the field of accounting.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with general accounting tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and filing
- Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Assist with financial audits and provide support during the audit process
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and analysis
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of wills, trusts, estate law is a plus
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Experience with financial auditing and accounting procedures
- General ledger reconciliation experience
- Technical accounting skills, including knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Understanding of financial management principles
- Knowledge of governmental accounting is a plus
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.69 - $24.00 per hour
