Overview:
**Supervisor: President of the Board**
**Status: Full-time Exempt**
**Duties**:
Board Development (20%)
- Provide direction and leadership the Volunteer Board of Directors
- Assist in the development of the Strategic Plan as needed.
- Assist Board with the implementation and Evaluation of the Board of Directors Strategic Plan
- Assist the Board with the recruitment and orientation of new Board members.
- Assist Board and committees in the development of the annual work plan
- Work with board chair to set monthly agenda and reports
- Serve as staff liaison on the following board committees: Executive, FAIR, Personnel, Marketing, Development, Nominating, Program and established ad hoc committees.
- Attend board committee meetings
- Review progress toward Boards goals
- Assist in the recruitment and on-boarding of board members
- Identify and recruit Youth Board Members
Financial Planning and Management (20%)
- Develop and present annual income and expense operating budget for Board Approval
- Ensure the preparation and submission of Funder reports
- Ensure completion of the annual audit
- Monitor income and expense vouchers
- Approve and monitor of all spending.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for board meetings
- Oversee the completion of payroll and payables
- Manage program budget
- Manage and monitor monthly cash flow
Fund Development (20%)
- Assist Board in the development of the annual Fund Development Plan
- Initiate and maintain foundation and major Funder contacts
- Recommend program fees and structure
- Assist in the planning and implementation of all special events fund raising:
- Oversee the development and submission of all grants and proposals
- Oversee the implementation of campaigns: Board, Business, Church, and Civic
Public Relations, Marketing, Community Development (10%)
- Conduct agency presentations
- Work with the marketing committee to develop and implement agency promotional plans.
- With the marketing committee develop, review and approve agency publications, brochures, annual reports, newsletters, fund raising materials etc.
- Maintain active memberships in the community civic groups and/or organizations
- Participate in agency and Funder collaborations
Program (10%)
- Oversee the development and evaluation of the annual Program Plan
- Develop, supervise and monitoring of program budgets
- Implement, analyze and make recommendations for changes based on evaluation and outcomes
Personnel Supervision and Evaluation (10%)
- Assist in writing and approving job descriptions
- Participate in the interviewing, approve hiring, and orientation of staff
- Provide direct program supervision at weekly team/individual meetings or as needed
- Attend programs as necessary to provide appropriate supervision and assistance
- Supervise and evaluate assigned program and non-program staff
- Recommend staffing structure, salary structure and annual employee compensation
- Implement agency personnel policies
- Implement agency benefit plan
Administrative Responsibilities (10%)
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate service statistics on clients and volunteers
- Represent TLS at meetings and special events
- Provide written or oral presentations as requested
- Ensure the completion of the ear-end statistical report
- Approve and ensure the processing and tracking of payroll, payables, time sheets, vacation requests, personal days, staff schedules, agency holidays and employee time off.
- Review, monitor, approve agency insurance plans
- Review an approve agency contracts
- Ensure the filing of all legal reports and documents -.A.G.; IRS, Secretary of State
- Ensure bank deposits are completed
Environmental and Working Conditions
Will require some travel to schools, agencies and other off site program/meeting destinations. Some weekends and evenings will be required.
Physical Requirements
Standing/walking 20% of the time, sitting 70% of the time, traveling 10% of the time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field; MBA preferred
- Proven experience in executive leadership roles with a focus on business development and operations management
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Proficiency in process improvement methodologies
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in managing diverse teams across multiple departments
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to the industry
- Familiarity with fundraising strategies and donor relations
Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
