**DESCRIPTION**:
Independently, but within an established clinical model, the incumbent provides neuropsychological services including diagnostic evaluations, assessments, and feedback for patients in the UCSD Center for Brain Health and Memory Disorders, where our work focuses on older adults. Conducts clinical interviews, adapts cognitive testing battery, and oversees psychometrist completing and scoring battery. Writes brief but comprehensive reports with an efficient turnaround time. Conducts feedback appointments. Interacts with other professionals including neurology, geriatrics, psychiatry, social work, and nursing staff. Completes documentation and billing in a comprehensive and timely manner. Participates in a multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment team.

The licensed clinician is responsible for the soundness and validity of assessment and recommendations but is expected to seek advice from supervisor or senior specialists on unusual or complex cases. Incumbent keeps the supervisor informed of the status and progress of individual cases. Professional and community activities include participating in conferences with fellow staff and team members.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Ph.D. or Psy.D degree in Clinical Psychology.
- Current valid state of California Psychology License.
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist for 2 years.
- Proven psycho-diagnostic interviewing skills.
- Strong cognitive testing skills.
- Ability to select appropriate cognitive and mood tests.
- Skill and experience in overseeing psychological technicians.
- Ability to write relatively brief reports with quick turnaround time.
- Ability to work efficiently and carry a full caseload each week.
- Willingness to work with students, interns and postdoctoral fellows.
- Willingness to organize and contribute to weekly case conferences.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary clinics.
- Ability to deliver care in an ethical, non-judgmental, and non-discriminatory manner.
- Demonstrated skill in problem-solving and critical thinking. Able to think creatively and efficiently, to assess, analyze, and solve problems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with ethnically and culturally diverse populations and co-workers, exercising tact, flexibility, and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Board-certified or eligible (ABPP) in clinical neuropsychology.
- Has completed a two-year dedicated neuropsychology fellowship.

Annual Full Pay Range: $105,172 - $138,505 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $50.37 - $66.33

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
