Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing inventory standard operating procedures (SOPs), effectively managing parts, products, and bill of materials, and conducting regular cycle counts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement inventory standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize inventory accuracy, minimize stockouts, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive parts, products, and bill of materials management system, ensuring accurate tracking, availability, and replenishment processes.
- Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and reconcile any discrepancies promptly.
- Create and update detailed BOMs for various products, ensuring accuracy and alignment with production requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and production, to streamline inventory management processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular audits of BOMs, inventory records, and stock levels to identify discrepancies and reconcile them promptly.
- Proactively identify and resolve inventory-related issues, such as stock discrepancies, obsolete or excess inventory, and slow-moving items.
- Generate reports and analyze inventory data to provide insights on inventory levels, trends, and potential areas for improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance accuracy, availability, and replenishment of materials.
- Perform ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the manager to support department objectives and priorities.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Strong understanding of inventory control principles, including parts management, BOM creation, and tracking systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex inventory data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficient in using inventory management systems and software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Computer literate, with advanced Excel skills/abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
