Environmental Scientist

Normandeau Associates, Inc., one of the nation’s largest science-based environmental consulting firms, is seeking a full-time entry-level Environmental Scientist. This position will be based in our Bedford, NH office, with an emphasis on wetland science, wildlife biology, and water resources work supporting clients in both private and public sectors in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts.

**Responsibilities for the position**:

- Assist project team with general environmental field work including wetland delineation/surveying/characterization, acoustic bat surveys and inspections, wildlife telemetry studies, habitat assessments, and water quality sampling/monitoring;
- Collect and manage GIS and GPS data, biological monitoring data, stream survey data, and water quality monitoring data;
- Assist with data processing, data QC, data analysis, preparing graphs and figures, and report writing;
- Participate in field work that may require working alone or in a team setting, may require a substantial amount of travel, walking, working from boats, at heights, and may be conducted under a variety of weather and terrain conditions;
- Use, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of environmental equipment including GPS receivers, water quality data sondes, telemetry transmitters and receivers, and acoustic wildlife detectors.

**Requirements**:

- B.S. in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Hydrology, or a related degree.
- One year’s previous work experience or educational equivalent is preferred.

**Salary**:$20.00-$21.00 hourly based on experience
