Irrigation Specialist

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYThe Irrigation Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing the irrigation systems, including Priva and Famidan, to ensure efficient water use and nutrient delivery for crops grown in both substrate and soil. The role includes maintaining the irrigation systems, preparing fertilizer stock solutions, and adjusting irrigation strategies based on plant needs and environmental conditions.RESPONSIBILITIES
- **Irrigation System Management**: Oversee and manage irrigation systems (Priva & Famidan) to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.
- **EC and pH Monitoring**: Regularly monitor and adjust EC and pH levels to maintain optimal conditions for plant growth.
- **Fertilizer Stock Solution Preparation**: Prepare and manage fertilizer stock solutions to ensure precise nutrient delivery.
- **System Maintenance and Setup**: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and setup of irrigation systems to prevent downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- **Plant Monitoring**: Walk the plants regularly to observe their condition and adjust irrigation strategies accordingly to meet their needs.
- **Data Analysis**: Collect and analyze data related to irrigation performance, plant health, and environmental conditions to make informed decisions.
- **Documentation**: Maintain detailed records of irrigation activities, system performance, and adjustments made to irrigation strategies.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

**Requirements**:

- Desired Agricultural Education: Degree or certification in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with irrigation management software and data analysis tools.
- Experience with Irrigation Systems: Proven experience in managing irrigation systems, specifically Priva and Famidan.
- Strong understanding of irrigation practices for both substrate and soil-based growing environments.
- Proficiency in monitoring and adjusting EC and pH levels to optimize plant health.

**Compensation & Benefits**:
**Salary Range estimated for the Irrigation Specialist $44,700 to $49,000 USD.**

Pay: $44,700.00 - $49,000.00 per year
