**We are looking for an After School Manager**

**Into the Future (intothefuture.nyc) is looking for an After School Manager ready to expand our community of curious, engaged young people through our after school programs and monthly events.**

**We are going into our fourth year of enrichment programming and looking for a high energy, engaging person to take a lead role in modeling our core values of play, creativity, imagination, and problem solving with our full community of young people. The Manager will help lead a team of 2-3 people, interact with parents, and most of all, be fully present in the space with young people (Grades 2-4).**

**The position is 20-25 hours per week 1:00 pm - 6:30 pm (Monday - Thursday) Compensation is $30 /hr**

**Start Date - Flexible**:

- **Option #1: June 2024 - Join us as we transition into Summer**:

- **Option #2: Summer Program - Join us for our 8 weeks of Summer programs**:

- **Option #3: August 2024- Join us as we transition into the School Year**

**The Manager works collaboratively with the Content & Curriculum Director, and the Co-Owners (CEO and COO) of Into the Future. The Manager reports to the Co-Owner/ COO.**

**The After School Manager will**:

- **Co-teach/ Co-lead after school programs for 2nd - 4th graders in classes with 15-24 young people. Active time with young people will be from 2:30 -6:00 pm.**:

- **Manage staff including 1-2 other staff members and high school student interns.**:

- **Manage interactions with parents about changes to their schedules, or answering questions about their child’s experience.**:

- **Manage pick ups from local elementary schools, walking with children to the program space, and coordinating with schools and ITF staff for smooth transitions.**:

- **Manage the space for program use, including setting up and cleaning up the space.**:

- **Participate in team retreats and planning meetings an additional 4-5 paid hours a month.**:

- **Lead or support staff facilitating field trips from local elementary schools.**

**Qualifications/ Experience**:

- **Has experience, and gets excited about working with young people in a positive, encouraging, growth mindset and healthy social emotional learning framework.**:

- **Shares Into the Future’s belief in the power of free play and that young people can create powerful and compelling images of the future that shape the decisions we make today — for a better tomorrow.**:

- **Is committed to equity, inclusion, and health and safety standards so that all children, staff members and members of the ITF community thrive.**:

- **Is interested in the program’s commitment to free play, STEAM, design, and future focused content.**:

- **Has experience collaborating with others, especially in a startup environment.**

**Is available to work in person at the Into the Future space: 477 7th Avenue Brooklyn NY.**

**Compensation is $30/hr / 20- 25 hours per week. Includes 2 weeks of PTO, including one week during the NYC DOE Calendar Winter break and one week in summer.**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week

Schedule:
