Job Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Summarize appellate and trial court outcomes into brief, digestible summaries.
- Conduct legal research to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness of case briefs.
- Collaborate with editorial team to meet daily publishing deadlines.
- Maintain quality and consistency in writing style and formatting.

**Requirements**:

- Completed law degree.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
- Interest in legal journalism and a commitment to accuracy and fairness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Journalism background is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.

**Location**:
This is a hybrid position based in our Los Angeles office.

Schedule:
The Daily Journal publishes Monday to Friday, and legal writers can expect a regular, 40-hour workweek.
