**Human Resources and Finance Assistant**

The Human Resources and Finance Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the human resources and finance functions of the organization. This position will assist in the smooth, timely, and error-free processing of financial and benefits information by processing data, creating reports, and filing information. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Human Resources Manager. The Assistant will help manage confidential personnel and finance data.
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Create confidential financial reports.
- Responsible for AP & AR Entry, Customer Deposits, Journal Entries.
- Responsible for weekly payroll reporting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records related to payroll taxes, PTO, benefits, and personal contact information.
- Assist Human Resources team with recruitment: job posting, interview scheduling, benefits enrollment, orientation, and onboarding of new staff.
- Assist with new hire paperwork processing and personnel file management.
- Participate in the completion of annual benefits open enrollment.
- Update all required company reports monthly.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance skills, safety, and compliance.
- Responsibilities may vary based on individual’s skills and education level.
- **Required Skills and Abilities**:_
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
- **Education and Experience**:_
- The job requires an associate degree in accounting and 1-2 years of experience.
- ERP Systems knowledge preferred.
- Payroll processing.
- General Human Resources process knowledge and experience.
- **Physical Requirements**:_
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at a time.
