Pediatric Rn

**Full Time Pediatric RN**

**COVID vaccine will be required unless medical / religious exemption**. Seeking a Full Time Pediatric RN to work in BCHP's Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Office in Hawthorne, NY. Full Time schedule with a pay rate of approx. $40/hr-$45/hr, negotiable based on experience. Must have 3+ years of Pediatric experience in a clinical setting.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Staff**
- Supervising and providing feedback to clinical staff
- Implementing office workflow
- Managing nursing schedule, PTO and weekend coverage

**Prior Authorization**
- Submit radiology authorizations and track
- Submit medication authorization and track
- Submit and track Formula authorizations

**Medically fragile patients**
- Process all medically fragile patients' disability forms, letters of medical necessity, and therapies forms
- FMLA
- Medicaid forms
- Detailed forms for schooll
- Refill medication and formula prescription
- PA?s for formula, seizure medication, and medical supplies
- Work with nursing agencies
- Complete transportation forms and schedule pick ups

**Newborn screens**
- Document and track all NBS records and what state they are born
- Process newborn screen results as needed
- Abnormal screens
- Complete new pink slip and document new NBS Lab ID

**Synagis**
- Identity eligible patients with MD
- Review insurance and submit PA to Medical insurance
- Track all PA?s submitted
- Submit enrollment forms for specialty pharmacy
- Approved patients need monthly injections. Track immunization order, shipment and administration calendar and arrange follow-up Visits with patients
- Vitals/Weight at each visit following administration (determines dose

**VFC**
- Weekly inventory (NYSIIS and Nextgen)
- Log all VFC patient on patient log
- Daily monitoring of fridge and freeze temps
- Document all temps in NYSIIS
- Maintain VFC education
- Bi-Weekly ordering for VFC vaccines
- VFC enrollment

**Private vaccines**
- Weekly inventory
- Ordering and Nextgen inventory
- Keeping up to date with new vaccines (etc PVC20 and RSV)
- Bi-Weekly ordering for Private vaccines

**COVID (on hold)**
- VFC ordering/Private
- Tracking expiration dates
- Staying up to date with patient schedules
- Knowing the different formulations and reconstitution for age groups along with schedule

**Supply Ordering (oversee)**
- Medical supply inventory
- Ordering
- Stocking room/monitoring sharps
- Ordering of lab supplies

**Equipment/ Medication**
- Keeping inventory of expiration dates for medication and emergency supplies
- Running control on all CLIA waivered test and documenting
- Stocking and keep all equipment clean and up to date
- AED machine maintenace

**Other Duties and Responsibilities**
- Participate in Division meetings
- Participate in Monthly Medical home meetings
- Participate in Mock Codes
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff and patients
- Train new staff members on proper procedures
