**POSITION INFO**:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Digital Printing Technician to join our team in a part-time capacity. The Digital Printing Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining digital printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials according to job specifications. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge printing technology and contribute to the success of our printing operations. This position will be cross trained to perform the key job functions of the mail center which include: Processing Outgoing UPS; Creating & Activating I.D. Badges; Processing Goods Received for WHQ in SAP.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Xerox® PrimeLink C9070
- Intake printing projects and work with multiple departments to ensure their printing projects are completed successfully and on-time
- Load paper media, toner cartridges, and other materials into the digital press, ensuring proper setup and calibration for each print job
- Use a Fiery system to set-up various printing jobs, including but not limited to booklets, brochures, newsletters, flyers, envelopes, and other files
- Monitor print quality throughout the production process, making adjustments as needed to maintain consistency and accuracy in color, registration, and overall print quality
- Operate auxiliary machines or complete-by-hand any projects that require collation, stapling, paper punching, folding, cutting, and/or perforating
- Sort, assemble, and proof printed projects before delivering completed work
- Perform routine operational maintenance, complete minor repairs to equipment, and report major repairs per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Maintain paper inventory and stock of supplies
- Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines while operating printing equipment and handling printing materials to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others
- Keep detailed production records, including job specifications, materials used, production times, and any issues encountered during the printing process
- Flexible schedule based on company print needs
**EXPERIENCE**:
- Experience with Xerox® PrimeLink C9070 or similar sheet-fed digital press preferred
- Experience working with a Fiery system or similar Digital Print Server (DFE) preferred
**EDUCATION**:
High School Diploma or GED.
**TRAINING AND SKILLS**:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Requires a keen eye for detail and a strong technical proficiency in digital printing technologies
- Thorough understanding of color management and other printing standards
- Commitment to delivering superior results in a fast-paced production environment
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and ensure timely completion of projects
- Good communicator and a team collaborator
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS**:
- Ability to lift up-to 40 lbs. at a time (paper boxes)
- Able to bend, kneel, or stand frequently
- Performing repetitive motions such as loading paper or collating projects
- Able to read, understand, and carry out detailed job specifications in English
- Good visual acuity for inspecting printed materials and reading job specifications, including accurate color vision for color adjustment
