Overview:
Hiring ALL FOH staff (Bar Manager (Full-time), Bartenders, Servers, Hosts, Food Runners) for a new craft-casual style restaurant (Switchback Beer Garden and Taphouse). All skill levels welcome.

100% Employee-Owned Company launching our brand-new Beer Garden, Tap house and craft-casual restaurant at the end of June. We are building this from the ground up and we are looking for outgoing, responsible, punctual, self-motivated people to add authentic energy to what will be the hot new destination in Burlington. With construction complete on over 5,000 sq ft of inside/outdoor space, we are at the point where we’re on the search for the best hospitality staff in VT.

The style of this restaurant will be a craft-casual approach which is pulling from various restaurants to create a new way of engaging with customers, creating contagious energy and allowing for a more community atmosphere. This style will again require everyone to help each other out and be accountable whether they are in the FOH or BOH. Two houses working together for a common goal of having the best work environment and customer experience in Burlington. We want this job to be just as much fun for you as it is for our guests.

FOH Part Time Shifts Will Vary (Tuesday - Sunday):
*Bar Manager (Full-Time), Bartenders, Servers, Hosts, Food Runners

Grand Opening Business Hours may vary, but would be similar: (Tuesday - Thursday 2pm - 10pm) & (Friday - Sunday 12pm - 10pm)

**Duties**:

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding seating
- Take customer orders and relay to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Handle cash and card transactions using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area
- Assist in bussing tables and resetting them for the next guests
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to customers

**Experience**:

- Bartending, serving, hosting and food running experience all welcome
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant industry is preferred
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems for order processing is a plus
- Knowledge of retail math for pricing and discounts
- Ability to assist in basic food preparation tasks
- Experience in upselling techniques to increase sales
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
