We're in search of a **Technology Teacher** to enhance our educational team. Your mission will be to closely guide students in mastering the curriculum and skills essential for their growth into well-rounded, competent, and responsible adults.

**QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS**:
The qualifications and skill requirements for this position include:

- Bachelor’s degree and Florida Department of Education Certification in Computer Science (grades 6-12);
- Master’s degree in computer science or digital design field or Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Computer Science or Digital Design preferred;
- Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable teaching experience and/or equivalent work experience;
- Familiarity with cooperative learning and assessment techniques;
- Knowledge of best practices in education for high schools;
- Proven track record of effective teaching methods and procedures;
- Understanding of varied student learning needs;
- Ability to establish and maintain a supportive student environment;
- Committed to increasing student achievement through contextual and applied curriculum;
- Expertise in current instructional strategies and teaching methods.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The essential job functions and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

- Planning and providing top-quality instruction to 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students to include both high school and college-level coursework;
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, administration, parents, and students;
- Preparing, instructing, and grading all class coursework;
- Assigning final grades;
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours to meet with students;
- Attend required professional development opportunities.

**SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

- Teaching in a manner that assists high school students in meeting rigorous instructional standards at both the high school and college level;
- Appropriately integrating computer software and technology-based instruction;
- Maintaining a safe and effective classroom environment;
- Administering assessments and determining the ways different students learn to thereby act on results;
- Coordinating and supervising learning activities;
- Utilizing all available data including achievement and assessment test results, progress tests, daily assignments, teacher observations, past performance and other available information to plan instruction and evaluate student performance;
- Utilizing IRSC’s technology resources to bring depth, relevance and excitement to the learning process; integrate technology into assignments;
- Determining student grades and following established school procedures for reporting and recording them;
- Helping high school students acquire study skills and self-discipline needed to complete their studies successfully;
- Informing parents/guardians of student progress and seeking their assistance in meeting student needs;
- Assisting in the collection of student data;
- Providing appropriate accommodations for students as required by statute;
- Reinforcing reading and writing skills throughout the curriculum;
- Maintaining a comprehensive plan for self-evaluation and improvement of instruction;
- Maintaining accurate records;
- Complying with all reporting deadlines;
- Displaying an appropriate and supportive attitude towards students, colleagues, supervisors, and the community;
- Collaborating and working with counselors, staff, teachers and college personnel when appropriate to develop plans which integrate opportunities for
