Lakeview Specialty Hospital and Rehab is a Joint Commission Accredited and licensed long term acute care hospital (LTACH) and Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital (IRF) that has delivered 30 years of innovative programs and extensive services with expertise in medically complex care, neurobehavioral health, rehabilitation, and community supportive living. With superior proficiency in brain injury, rehabilitation, and complex respiratory care we are able to help our patients with difficult medical conditions reach their highest level of healing and functional independence possible. Located on more than 80 acres in a rural community outside of Milwaukee in Waterford, Wisconsin. Our peaceful grounds, coupled with tenured, talented, and caring staff, lend to the healing and recovery process.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Clean all areas of the building including but not limited to: Lobbies, Conference rooms, Restrooms, Elevators, Stairwells, Offices, Breakrooms, Treatment Rooms, Patient/Client rooms in hospital and residential, Classrooms, Copy rooms, Hotel rooms, Dining Room, Hallways, Laundry rooms, Therapy rooms, Dialysis, Pharmacy, Training areas, Day rooms, Gymnasium, and Auditorium.
- Maintain floors using dust mops, wet mops, brooms, floor scrubbers, vacuums, carpet cleaners, etc.
- Clean all surfaces within the building including but not limited to: Walls, Floors, Windows, Furniture, Bathroom surfaces, Doors, Light switch covers, Counters, Garbage containers, Picture frames, Windowsills, Cubicle, and shower curtains, etc.
- Collect and properly dispose of waste materials, hazardous materials, and recycling.
- Collect and properly handle soiled linen for in house laundering or for linen service.
- Deliver linens to units following biosecurity practices.
- Replenish bathroom supplies and respond to requests from other departments.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment as needed.
- Follow all infection control measures implemented by the facility.
- Terminally clean all patient rooms as they become available.
- Fill out and properly file all housekeeping paperwork including but not limited to: Daily Task Sheets, Terminal Cleaning Checklist, Room Cleaned by Sign, Lint Log, Shower Curtain Log, etc.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships and two-way communication with other departments.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Environment of Care.

**Qualifications**:

- Skill, Knowledge, and Abilities: Attention to detail; Understand and follow written and verbal communications; Able to read and write in English.
- Understanding of difference between visibly clean and microscopically clean. Ability to rotate days off as required to perform assignments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of clients. Emotional stability is necessary to perform essential functions in client areas. Time management skills and ability to work efficiently with mínimal supervision.
- Licensure: None required. Prefer Lysol, NEHA or Clorox training certification.
- Experience: Prefer - One year experience, preferably in a healthcare or hotel housekeeping or laundry setting.
- Working Conditions: Expected to work rotating days on/days off as well as extended hours as required to fulfill assignments.
