**Job Summary**:
Under the direction of the City Administrator, this position is responsible for ensuring compliance with a variety of ordinances, codes and regulations relating to zoning, land use, licensing, health and safety, blight, graffiti, nuisances, and other matters of public concern. Work includes issuing a variety of building / zoning permits, conducting field inspections, meeting with property owners, educating the public about applicable laws, issuing warnings, issuing citations, attending court, and coordinating with other city departments.
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate and oversee the permitting process for residential and commercial construction projects.
- Coordinate building inspections with building officials and other regulatory agencies.
- Patrol, inspect, and conduct field investigations to determine compliance with city codes and issues notices of violation or citations for non-compliance.
- Respond to complaints and coordinates efforts with city staff, agencies, and solicitors.
- Perform a variety of office and field work in support of the City’s code enforcement program.
- Maintain accurate documentation and case files on all investigations, inspections, enforcement actions, and other job-related activities.
- Prepare a variety of written reports, memos, and correspondence.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with government agencies, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Previous experience in permit coordination, code enforcement or a related field, preferably in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with city ordinances, building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements.
- Relevant certifications or licenses may be advantageous.

Pay: $37,440.00 - $52,000.00 per year
