Homemaker Companion

**Immediate Openings for Homemaker Companions / Caregivers**:
Preferred Care at Home of North Westchester & Putnam is recruiting caregivers to join our team. We provide care to senior citizens in the comfort of their own home.

Many seniors are home alone feeling isolated. Many do not have family or friends nearby who can help them with every day tasks. Our Companions provide seniors with socialization and interaction that they are missing in their daily lives.

Some of the tasks required of a Companion / Caregiver:

- Companionship - Friendship
- Medication reminders
- Grooming assistance
- Preparing and cooking meals
- Light housekeeping, general clean-up, and laundry
- Shopping and errands
- Transport and escort to doctor appointments, etc.

**We are recruiting for cases located in** **Westchester & Putnam, NY**

We are looking for individuals who are RESPONSIBLE, RESPECTFUL, RELIABLE, EXPERIENCED, and PUNCTUAL. If you have these qualities and you truly enjoy helping those in our community, please apply.

**DRIVERS ARE NEEDED**, but not required for all positions. Applicants should own a car and possess a VALID driver's license and car insurance.

Qualifications (Preferred but not required for all cases):

- HHA
- CNA

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- 6 hour shift
- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- caregiving: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Driver's (preferred)
- HHA/CNA/PCA certification preferred but not required for all cases.
