ROLE SUMMARY
Join our team at Integrated Media Systems in Ashburn, VA, as an Entry-Level Technician. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing low-voltage systems in residential construction projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Attention to detail and good communication skills are essential for documenting activities, interacting with builders, and addressing customer inquiries.
- Previous experience in low-voltage communication installation in residential construction, including voice data, audio, and security.
- General understanding of communication terminology and technology, with a working knowledge of tools and test equipment used in the communication construction industry.
- Must have reliable transportation or plan to relocate before starting work.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience, preferably in a related field
- High school education.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check for DCJS License.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Proficiency in working with hand and power tools.
- Must own all essential tools
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install low-voltage communication, security, audio, and RF wiring within new residential and multi-family construction projects.
- Place cans, boxes, and HUBs, along with ground wire and fire seal as necessary.
- Tone, test, and label voice, data, and video cables at distribution locations and residence jacks.
- Terminate and test audio equipment such as speakers, volume controls, and media hubs.
- Terminate security devices and central vacuum components.
- Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, work orders, or reports to determine required materials or assembly instructions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
