Unarmed guards rate $20 - $30 per hr

Supervisors $30 - $40 per hr

Must have a NYS guard card

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and personnel. Your role will involve monitoring premises, preventing theft, and ensuring the overall security of the facility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Patrol assigned areas and monitor premises to prevent unauthorized access
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify potential security risks
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and safety
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure compliance with security regulations
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of any security-related incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Security Guard or relevant position
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations effectively
- CPR certification preferred
- Knowledge of basic first aid procedures
- Familiarity with CCTV surveillance systems
- Understanding of loss prevention techniques
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Excellent observation skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Note: or training in law enforcement is highly desirable.
