**LITERACY INTERVENTIONIST - K-5 - MLD**

RSU 21 is seeking an experienced literacy teacher leader to serve as a K-5 Literacy Interventionist. As the Literacy Interventionist, you will provide direct student intervention and support staff in the implementation of RSU 21’s elementary literacy programs by collaborating with teachers on best practices to support students in their classroom. You will focus on accelerating student learning and sharing strategies that will enhance teachers’ ability to provide instruction that builds students’ sense of engagement and will work with administrators and teachers to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support instructional decision-making.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work directly with students targeted for intervention
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to identify students who may benefit from literacy intervention programming
- Support professional staff to identify appropriate instructional strategies and interventions to improve academic achievement for all students
- Provide strategic guidance to professional staff by sharing resources, demonstrating effective instructional approaches, and modeling best practices
- Participate in collaborative grade level, content area, and data team meetings to assist in the analysis and utilization of assessment data to improve focus of instructional planning
- Deliver measurable results on improving student performance for students receiving intervention
- Collaborate with building administrators, grade level, and content area teams in setting goals for improved instruction and MTSS implementation and regularly meet to review benchmarks and established data points to assess student progress toward established instructional goals
- Team with school leaders to implement instructional vision and strategic goal-setting at the school-level

**Terms of Employment**: Salary and work year to be established by the Board and reflected in the contract.
