**Position Summary**
The General Laborer works in all Departments. General Laborer performs a wide range of duties such as removing drums from non-product areas, picking up spills, cleaning, assist with sanitation, assembling totes and boxes, dumping drums, palletizing product, and keeping the plant operating in an orderly and efficient manner.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Shoveling, sweeping and mopping floors, keeping areas clean
- Clean/wipe empty drums for input product which includes opening the drum
- Assembling totes for production
- Dumping drums of end process materials
- Cleaning/sanitizing and pick up product spills
- Washing with steam and variety of detergents
- Moving and dumping product
- Palletize drums and other full packages of product
- Scrape and brush product off various parts of machinery
- Manually loading empty and full fiber drums up to 300 pounds into trailers
- Manually sort large and small pallets
- Lift and stack empty fiber drums onto pallets
- Stretch wrap pallets above shoulders and below knees
- Manually stack pallets
- Restack pallets of bags and boxes 50 plus pounds
- Move office furniture
- Assist shipping drivers by lumping trucks being loaded
- Painting lines, posts and walls where needed
- Ensures the quality and condition of the containers and that the proper container is being used
- Cleans floor, walls, ledges, walkways, machinery, windows, etc.
- Maintains all plant and GMP sanitation standards
- Ensures that safe work habits are exercised
- Tasks vary in duration and arduousness based upon assignment, schedule and employer needs
- Other job duties as assigned

**Position Requirements**
- Lift empty containers above shoulder height.
- Roll containers up to 300 pounds.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work safely with heavy machinery.
- Walk and stand for minimum of 8 hours.
- Perform repetitive motion cleaning tasks.
- Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl around equipment.
- Daily attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this job.

The pay for this role in the state of CA is **$18.00/hr **and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location.
