**Shifts**:Monday thru Friday; 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm (OT as required)***

**Job Title**: Material Handler **Location**: Janesville, WI. **Employment Type**: Full-time
As a Material Handler at United Alloy, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by preparing and delivering products for shipment to customers. Your responsibilities will include pulling stored materials, accurately counting raw materials, supplying work areas, performing kitting tasks, and ensuring safe material handling practices. You'll also be responsible for documenting information related to material handling and maintaining clear pathways on the production floor.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Pull stored materials for orders and move to production or shipping area
- Identify materials using part numbers
- Accurately count raw materials
- Supply work areas with materials
- Perform kitting responsibilities as required
- Document information related to material handling
- Issue raw material to jobs accurately and timely
- Accurately count and tag material prior to handling
- Ensure clear and clean pathways on the production floor
- Follow safe manufacturing and material handling practices
**Qualifications**:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Certified forklift driver with at least one year of experience
- Experience operating LP gas driven forklifts
- Ability to move 1,000 lbs. or more with a forklift
- Proficiency in operating overhead cranes, banders, shrink wrappers, tape measures, and calipers
- Ability to determine material types and gauges
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform duties in accordance with UA and ISO requirements

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment that may have high noise levels, dust, chemicals, oil, and grease. Ability to work in an environment that may be either hot, cold or humid.
