**Job Summary and Qualifications**:
The Pre-Admissions Receptionist will perform a range of clerical duties supporting the work of the Charge Nurse in maintaining efficiency in the holding area and preadmissions testing. You will communicate effectively with staff, physicians, management, external and internal customers. Organize work to complete daily clerical tasks and have all charts ready for the next day
- You will utilize Meditech proficiently.
- Pursue opportunities to enhance personal and professional growth
- Answer telephone and reports all messages promptly using effective telephone etiquette
- Adhere to Hospital policies and procedures. Supports the Mission of the Hospital
- You will assist with the holding area board and with patient belongings as needed
- Assist staff with taking Labs and specimens as needed to the Lab.

**What qualifications you will need**:

- Previous hospital and medical terminology experience required; previous experience as a unit secretary is preferred
- Strong customer service and excellent English communication skills
- Computer literate (ability to utilize computer programs such as Meditech, Word, Excel, etc.)

Possess the ability to work Monday - Friday, 5:30a - 2:00p
