The Compacting Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining Compacting equipment for powder metal production. This position includes precision work producing parts safely and efficiently, while maintaining high quality.

**Summary/Objective**
- Setup and run all press and conveyer systems in the press area
- Accurately load/unload powder from press using overhead crane system
- Adjust and improve press programs
- Maintain correct tooling inventory
- Measure parts to ensure a high level of accuracy, reproducibility and repeatability using; digital micrometers, bench gauges, dial indicators and digital calipers
- Build and repair compacting Die sets
- Identify tooling damage root cause and improvements
- Assist other departments as needed
- All other duties as assigned

**Skills and Attributes**
- Ability to handle high volume production
- Follow all Environmental, Health, Safety policies and procedures
- Understand and follow process documentation including process prints and work instructions
- Ability to understand and use metric measurements
- Understanding of basic math equations
- Meet quality, production and work center goals
- The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.

**Qualifications**
- Previous manufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic Computer skills including ERP Systems
- Solid mechanical knowledge

**Physical Demands**
- Required to stand for long periods of time and move about the facility
- Occasional lifting of items not to exceed 40 lbs
- Use of all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Work primarily in a plant environment

Pay: $24.50 - $28.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
