Summitview is a private, nonprofit organization licensed by the State of California to provide a variety of mental health services to children, adults, and families. Our administrative offices, mental health services, nonpublic school, and residential treatment homes are in Placerville, CA. Placerville is in the Sierra foothills, off Hwy 50 - which is just a 30-45-minute (reverse) commute from downtown Sacramento.

**JOB DUTIES**:

- Facilitate AOD education groups, relapse prevention, and other workshops as assigned, using approved materials.
- Provide direct services to develop resource information and teach residents to appropriately access community resources and services.
- Works with residential therapist to develop and implement drug/alcohol treatment plans to achieve individualized outcomes including stability, improved health, sobriety/recovery, increased social support, improved mental health, and disease prevention (including HIV and hepatitis C).
- Assure that all emergency needs of residents are met, and these incidents are reported as required.
- Meet with youth on a 1:1 basis with the goal of improving behavior and overall functioning in the home, residential program, and community.
- Develop appropriate documentation for each individual session in a timely manner ensuring that productivity expectations are achieved each week.
- Provide creative and applicable interventions to each client assigned to caseload.
- Other duties as assigned.

**LOCATION**:
This position is currently located in our administrative / non-public school building in central Placerville, CA. Though we will be moving in late April / May of 2024 to a new site in El Dorado Hills, CA. Both sites (current & future) are within an 8 minute drive from U.S. Hwy 50.

**HOURLY RATE**:
$20.00 - $26.00 p/hr depending on experience & education. Overtime paid after 40hrs in workweek.

**BENEFITS**:
Full-time positions (30hr +) are eligible for Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance benefits, paid vacation, and sick time in addition to a 403b retirement plan. FSA and HSA accounts are also available.

**POSITION HOURS**:
This position is 40hrs per week, 8hrs per day, Monday - Friday, hours between 8am - 6pm depending on agency and client needs.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a related Behavioral Health field from an accredited or approved college or university (e.g., social work, psychology, sociology, social welfare, etc.) preferred with a minimum qualification of an associate degree.
- CADTP or SUD certification preferred.
- One year or more providing AOD counseling / services with preference for working with youth is preferred.
- An understanding of Trauma Informed Care.
- Experience and knowledge of Behavior Modification Techniques, DBT, and Nurtured Heart is preferred.

**ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS**:

- Background Check with Live Scan fingerprinting
- Current negative Tuberculosis (TB) test.
- Position requires driving so valid, unrestricted CA driver’s license, personal automobile liability insurance, and insurability by our insurance carrier.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
