**Job Overview**:
As a Host atPoppy & Seed, you will be the first point of contact for our valued guests, setting the tone for their entire dining experience. Your welcoming and professional demeanor will create a lasting first impression, ensuring our patrons feel esteemed and at ease throughout their visit. Your exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail will contribute to the smooth operation of the restaurant, helping to coordinate reservations, manage waitlists, and assist in ensuring an efficient flow of guests.

**Responsibilities**:
Greet guests with warmth and graciousness upon arrival, creating a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere.

Efficiently manage the reservation system, confirming and organizing reservations to optimize table turnover and customer satisfaction.

Maintain awareness of table availability and allocate seating appropriately to accommodate guest preferences and special requests.

Communicate with the dining room staff to ensure smooth coordination of seating and service.

Proactively address and resolve any guest inquiries or concerns, striving to exceed their expectations.

Assist in managing the waitlist during peak hours, providing accurate wait times and ensuring guests are informed of the restaurant's status.

Keep the host/hostess stand and reception area tidy, organized, and visually appealing.

Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menu changes, and promotions to inform guests as needed.

Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure seamless service flow and guest satisfaction.

Follow all safety and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

**Requirements**:
Previous experience as a Host/Hostess in an upscale dining establishment is preferred but not mandatory.

A warm and friendly personality, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Impeccable grooming and presentation, representing the polished image of the restaurant.

Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, handling challenging situations with grace.

Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage reservations and waitlists efficiently.

Proficiency in reservation management systems and restaurant software is an advantage.

Flexibility in working evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the restaurant's schedule.
