This job description outlines the key responsibilities and qualifications for a Childcare Teacher position. Depending on the specific requirements of the childcare center or preschool, additional duties and qualifications may apply.

**Duties**

1. Develop and implement daily lesson plans that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.

2. Create a safe, clean, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration.

3. Plan and organize activities that encourage creativity, imagination, and curiosity.

4. Foster positive relationships with children, providing guidance, support, and encouragement as needed.

5. Observe and assess individual children's progress and development, maintaining accurate records and communicating with parents/guardians regularly.

6. Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate classroom activities, share resources, and maintain consistency in routines and expectations.

7. Model appropriate behavior and language, setting a positive example for children and reinforcing social skills.

8. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing training to enhance knowledge and skills in early childhood education.

9. Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information related to children and families.

10. Adhere to all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and organizational policies and procedures.

**Requirements**:
Qualifications:
1. Completion of Intro to the Childcare Profession

2. Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting or preschool environment.

3. Understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.

4. Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

5. Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.

6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

7. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

8. Background check clearance and Health Screening required.

**Nice To Haves**
- Associate or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Completion of Skills and Strategies for the Childcare Teacher
- Completion of Fundamentals of Infant & Toddler Care
